X-Power is a data driven analytic company that tracks residential energy consumption using behavioural science methodologies. By showing customers their energy consumption in comparison to that of their surrounding neighbours, we can significantly reduce the net energy consumed in a given region.
It is human nature to compare yourself to those in your community. X-Power utilises this foundational behavioural science principle to raise people’s awareness of their monthly energy consumption. Through a personalised monthly distributed letter, X-Power will clearly depict each household’s energy consumption by comparing it to that of their neighbours. By clearly demonstrating to each homeowner where their energy consumption stands in comparison to those around them, and providing them clear and concise recommendations to reduce their energy, small reductions in energy consumption will be made. These residual reductions, made throughout a community over time,  will add up to a large net reduction within a region.
